Power Savers Alert!!

Due to high temperatures and increasing energy demand, we are asking municipal electric customers to VOLUNTARILY reduce electric use today, Monday, July 15th. Power Saver Hours are from 3pm to 8pm. Customers are encouraged to lower their electric use during these hours to save money both now and later. Participation will lower electric use throughout the community and in return lower customers’ monthly electric costs and reduce utility energy costs over time. The more people that participate, the bigger the impact.

Customers can help by taking simple steps such as:

• Turn off unused electric devices and unplug energy draining items such as unused charging cables to avoid wasting power unnecessarily.
• Lowering the temperature of you hot water heater saves energy & money by reducing standby loss which is heat lost to the surrounding environment when the water is not in use.
